Sophie et Voila is becoming one of the top guns in the high fashion bridal industry in Spain. In a few years they’ve manage to be in the most iconic fashion shows like the BBFW and get coverage in magazines like IO Dona, H.Bazaar, ELLE, Vogue and Telva.
They reached us in a moment in which they felt they had a story to tell within their clothing brand but lack storytellers among their team.
Since the very first meeting we realize there was lot of potential in their brand and we decided to focus this first collaboration on a feel film in which they could communicate the expecienre of wearing one of its dresses.
The success of that first project led to the second one, which centered into a more intimate arena of personally knowing Sofía and her craft throw a series of three short-documentaries.
Since the early discussions they wanted to establish a rock-n-roll tone both in the aesthetics and the character portrayed of the bride, without comprimising the beauty shots that any bride expects on their wedding day. Besides an important goal of the video was to convey a complete story. That is why the Fashion Film genre presented as the ideal format for this project.
We moved the whole team to a country house in the Mountain of Gredos to get that autummy look. We got a prestigious hairdresser for the shooting and an onset stylist to look after each detail in every frame. Because of budget limitations and location we had to squeeze everything into five hours of shooting, but the weather was gentle and we wrapped before sunset.
We did plenty of research in music libraries until we managed to find the perfect match for our visuals. Another key element in this piece was the dynamics, the intentionwas to compress, alter and overlap time in specific parts of the video to mimic the realm of personal memories.
Follow-up & new projects
The connection had been established and the time was right to show the real face behind the brand, Sofía. To get to know the insides of the atelier and witness the craft that is promised in each piece of clothing of SeV.
As for that we developed a miniseries of video-capsules in which the founder would introduce their artisanal workflow, their architectural inspirations and the real people who define the brand.
